  7. Police were yesterday making further checks on a moorland fire on a remote
  8. Island after sightings of a mysterious blazing object in the sky prompted a
  9. flurry a puzzled calls to coastguards..
  10.  
  11. A navy helicopter scrambled to investigate the blaze on the island of Jura on
  12. Tuesday night found it was gorse fire started by estate workers, which later
  13. reignited..

  15. But still not explained was the object in the sky which prompted the calls to
  16. coastguards from locals and ships..
  17.  
  18. RAF search controllers said calls came from reliable witnesses, including
  19. airline pilots, who reported meteorite activity over Scotland..
  20.  
  21. And one coastguard at Oban said he saw a large comet-like object with a tail..
